what are McKinsey’s september start dates?
McKinsey & Company I did my final round with McKinsey today, and I I received a rejection call from the partner today. However, he said I did really great and wants to keep in touch with me. He also mentioned that I should reapply in 6 months. Does anyone have any similar experience? Do I have a better chance if I reapply next time?McKinsey & Company

You don’t have a single suit?
Yeah you should still have a suit…not just for MBB, but for life lol.
Nothing to laugh about. It’s totally ok to not own a suit if you’ve never needed it.
Coach
Been here 3.5 years and have never worn a suit. Very uncommon.
But you should still have one because that’s just a normal thing to own
Yes . MBB without suit is like b4 without hat
FYI if you’re only buying one suit — blue and gray suits are best for work. Black for weddings/funerals usually
Or church, holiday parties, symphony

would own one ready for if you need it but you usually won’t that dressed up
Not in the US.
We aren't bankers or lawyers.
Nope
You should be able to dance 🕺in suit. Jokes aside, if your client is a bank you may need it once in a while.
Lol, yes.
I don’t have one. EM
I occasionally wear one to client sites. I'd say I have worn it less than 5% of my working days though.
Coach
I think you should have in general. However, I have never used one in a working context. I’ve used one once for a holiday party.
Never wear suits to client sites except maybe my grey once, because it’s casual. Better to get a solid sports coat imo
Depends on the clients you serve. You will likely need to wear a suit for time to time if you're serving in insurance or finance, for instance. Less likely if you're working in tech or oil & gas.
Get one because by the time you need one it’s a little late.
Depends on the client and also leadership. I’ve had clients (law firm, executive leadership in healthcare, etc.) where that’s what they wore so we were expected to wear them as well.
Depends on the office truly; I have only worn suits at the client site
Which one hired you without a suit?
