My morning ritual is mindlessly scrolling the phone for 30-45 mins before I finally make myself get out of bed.
Not morning but night time for me. Turn off all electronics 45 min before bed, dim the lights, read or meditate, drink tea if I want some and then sleep. Wake up in the morning ready to tackle the day.
Night time routine has been a game changer.
Having a night time routine has been a game changer for me too. It really makes it easier to actually fall asleep at the time I want. I also have been using a few techniques to stay asleep - 1) sleep mask, 2) playing white noise through a speaker, 3) ear plugs, 4) natural sleep aid (I use melatonin, but I hear there are better options).
1. Wake up at 5:30AM
2. 10 Minutes of The Bible/Prayer (don’t @ me)
3. Take a couple drags of the preroll
4. An hour long walk or bike ride with my lineup of news podcasts.
5. Start work day at 7:30AM after coming down from the pre-roll session.
Don’t know when this became a part of my routine, but I find it helps tremendously in keeping my calm, cool, collected, and relaxed during the work day.
As long as I’m in public accounting, I’ll continue these habits (unless my performance starts to decline of course).
This is awesome
I wake up at 5, make coffee, and watch the news. Its not very exciting, but my dad used to do that when I was a kid and it makes me feel very calm.
Coffee, walk my dog, music, and then work
I heard of taking a very cold shower in the morning daily.
Wake up, go for a two mile walk for my coffee. Eat oatmeal when I get home. The walk combined with the coffee and oatmeal prevents bloating.
I have zero morning routine. I listen to my alarm, snooze it, then wake up 10 min later, jump out of bed, go wash my face, get my green tea ready to go for work! All of this in less than 15min to get that adrenaline of the day😂

Love my morning rituals and they were the game changer for me in terms of keeping positive and intentional throughout the day. I have a selection of activities I choose each morning depending on my mood. Sometimes it’s a dry brushing with exercise routine, walk or run outside, yoga practice, meditation, journaling, relaxed quiet time with a cup of coffee and my notebook to write down things I’m grateful for and inspirations for the day. All helps and keeping it diverse helps me to not get bored!
