To what degree do you share your mental health issues with your team? I went through a period of depression and recently got comments back that I need to fix my attitude. Is it worth mentioning now?

I think it depends on the team. I have a very accepting team and have a senior who has been very open about her mental health. You need to look at they people you are around. Unfortunately mental health still has a stigma thankfully a lot of people are more accepting of it but some people still have the rub some dirt on it attitude.

That being said always put your health first.

I really believe it depends on the team, but it is an issue that should be approached since it definitely impacts work! I opened up to my team, and I should’ve opened up sooner. They lightened my load and helped me through it. I know that at EY there are also resources, Im sure other big4 have it .

I’ve been working for a small investment firm for about a year and am having some issues with my boss. We have a weekly check-in but he’s ALWAYS 2-3 hours late, or skips the meeting altogether without warning. He also never replies to any of the emails I send. About month ago I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD) and had to go through cardiac catheterization to get a stent.
I am in mid 30s and it's unbelievable that i have got this. Have been quite down mentally for last few weeks, and don't think if I can sustain the consulting life anymore.
I am working hard to stop the progression of disease and potentially reverse it. Hope things work out.

I’m a new analyst at a PE firm, and my associate keeps blaming me for things she does wrong. Like she will tell me I made the wrong change, even though she is the one who changed it. Or in calls with other people, she won’t take responsibility for things that she told me to do that the other person calls out as wrong. Liking one senior member on the team (who’s been my mentor) & I have started overthinking about this super genius man & I feel less confident when he’s around. This is impacting my work :(

My company issues top of the line 16” MBP’s for engineers and lower end 13” MBP’s for all others. I work in analytics/ data science and struggle with the fact that my computer can only run 1 external display! No one else on my team cares. How can I navigate requesting a more expensive computer without annoying my leadership? I already own an upgraded MBP as my personal - can I offer to swap my work and personal machines?

When I moved in-house a year ago as a BigLaw mid-level, I took a 45% pay cut, far more than I was comfortable with (although I was fine with a 20-30% cut). I took the job because it was a great role and I was focused on making the jump in house and developing the skills I wanted, which required me moving away from my firm practice area.
