I’ve never offered a job to someone who didn’t send me a thank you email. Not because they didn’t send me a thank you email, but because the best candidates usually do.
@CD1 I didn’t say I made an offer based on that and I also didn’t say that people don’t underperform. Read it again.
I’m saying that in my experience, I end up giving offers to the same people who send thank yous—not because they send thank yous, but probably because they have attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile that is reflected in other parts of their career that make them an attractive candidate.
Yeah I do. Doesn’t hurt, makes you a little more memorable, and the last external recruiter I dealt with actually suggested it which I think means something considering they’re heavily invested in you landing the role.
YES!!! And in the message work in how you’re a fit and excited to dive in. At this point don’t let them think anything else other than your the person for the job.
