Anyone able to give me a referral for Facebook (Meta) or Google?
I am a paralegal with 8 years of experience in the legal industry (+ Fortune 500). I was just diagnosed with a serious health condition and I’m looking for new remote position, that is challenging and offering high pay and benefits. Facebook (Meta) & Google currently have openings for positions that align with my skills. I kind ask that you simply share some tips, if you are unable to offer a referral. THANKS!

I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!

No I do not miss seeing them in person. Zoom is plenty.
Hide your name girl before your teams finds this comment 😂
I would say yes but half of them have quit by now
Chief
Yes - because the coworkers I would see in person are not ones I ever encounter on Zoom.
Same. I miss a handful of people who sat near me, but don't work in my group.

No! I only miss the free drinks and food @ the office

Low key- best way to get a raise is this. Shame your boss into giving you that money

Nope. And if for whatever reason I find myself missing any of them, I schedule a happy hour with them. WFH forever (lol jk, but not really).
Yes, I do miss my coworkers. I genuinely like a lot of them, and we’ve been getting together outside of work when we can.
I do not miss seeing their ugly, workaholic faces both in person and on camera.

No

Yes, but I’m on the very extroverted end of the scale.

Me too! I love the random chatter, cooler convos, elevator talks. Call me corny but just like talking to people!! 😅
I ALWAYS turn off my camera. It's just better for everyone involved 🤷🏻♀️
I got rated down on my review because apparently my boss was annoyed I barely ever went on camera
So I got a new job
Don’t need to see them in person or on camera! Only at happy hour 🤷🏻♀️
Same. I don't miss seeing them at work, I miss the bonding/social aspect of drinking with them after work. We are spread out across the country/world, so meeting without work travel is not possible.

Most of the time, no. I prefer to spend my limited free time with my husband and our dog. I am good friends with a few people in my group, and it’d be nice to see them once in awhile for a happy hour.
Just the hot ones
Pro
Ah yes I miss the eye candy as well. Scrolling through instagrams hot dudes with dogs page gets kinda old

I think the more interesting question would have been how many of you saying no are out there saying they do miss everyone in your town halls, team meetings 😂
Rising Star
I don’t miss seeing anyone, in any capacity, in any office.
Pro
Nope, no need to see them in person!
Yes for me because I actually had a pretty badass team and we all became friends for the most part
Nope!!!! Left my old firm mid covid and by then all the people I liked had left anyway. At the new firm, everyone seems cool but I don’t need to see them every day.

Not at all. My colleagues and I work really well remotely, and people I miss hanging out with I keep a few e-coffee zoom shoot the shit calendar holds for
I participated a lot in the small talk in office bc I’m friendly and bc background noise takes my focus easily, but it’s not part of the work.
“Spontaneous innovation” sparked by smalltalk is the biggest BS lie, and we’ve put in plenty of structures in the last year to make up for “hallway connectivity”
yeah i don’t miss 90% of them
