Do you feel like your manager listens to you but doesn’t actually care about what you have to say/how you feel? How are people handling this?

This executive I support has given me an e-gift card for the 3rd time in the past 5 months. Each gift card is $300.

I had already told him monetary awards were not necessary as the "thank-you" and words of appreciation were enough for me.

Is it normal to receive such large monetary awards? I think 50~100 is acceptable

Everyone on my team is leaving the firm. The PPMD who hired me left the firm before my start date, now two seniors have left in the last 2 months. My team will be down to <3 with no manager/SM/PPMD. A Manager/PPMD from a diff. City is going taking our “office” over, so I’ll be the random staff that lives out of state but reports to them. What would you do?

How do you have a conversation with someone that makes an unknowingly inappropriate or insensitive comment that not only impacts you but others around your office?

I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?

I'm a fresh grad and I thought this would be my dream job... I became the 3rd team member in this location and the regional team leader helped me understand and learned a lot...
