Seeking feedback on GAP insurance. I had a family member who purchased a car in June or July. They were in an accident last week and it sounds like the car will be declared a total loss. Car was $35k, $7k down, finance $28k. Gap insurance is through lender, not auto insurer.

I have joined hcl on 24 th sep 2021 and my last working day here is 18th May 2022.
Today I received my provisional full and final settlement and the payable amount is negative -11454. They are recovering the full AMPB amount which I got from September months.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

I work for a large asset manager and sell alternative investments (PE, RE, Credit, Infra etc) to RIAs, family offices, and multi family offices. Just curious to how my firms (wealth management/bank/trust) comp compares with others out there. I received a promotion earlier this year from an Investment Advisor, AVP to Senior Investment Advisor, VP and moved from $110K to $140K ($130 salary + $10K discretionary bonus) all in. By meeting expectations in 2 pay cycles, the base bumps up to $175K + bonus. Grown in this role over about 10 years with the same firm, MBA + CFA; top 10 city and living comfortably as dual income household.
