McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Sometimes, but I usually end up sleeping in a bit (my usual commuting time) so that gives me some extra energy to get through the day!
No but I take a booty call break.
Duty call or booty call..that is the question .
Why only when you are WFH ? 🤣
Ok this makes me feel much better about my own naps
Catnapping is actually proven productive.
Only if not busy? If I’m on the bench why not
Guilty if I have some down time during the day and things are quiet and getting towards EOD. I’ll rest for about an hour or so and then get back to work, especially if I’m planning on doing a bit more in the evening since I don’t have a commute. It’s also nice to sleep in a bit more since we can be in our comfy clothes and just log online in the morning. I loved it today w the snow day!
Usually work even longer to get more done given there’s no commute involved. Smh
Absolutely, no longer than 20mins. All I need to get re-energized.
I’m usually way to caffeinated to even think about napping (or eating), but when I have west coast clients and I’m east coast I definitely take advantage of some extra sleep in the am; although, I usually work late to comp.
Yup
Yep and 🍺 sometimes!
I think you mean... do you actually WFH in between naps?
Yes - I’m working regularly with folks in EMEA and Brazil so i’m on very early morning calls (e.g 5:30 AM) . A mid-day nap allows me to catch up from getting up so early. Still putting in the hours so the nap doesn’t really impact anything
I do not take nap but is won't mind if I get time. Most of the time I end up working more than when I am in office.
No such thing as a nap for me. It's either no nap or I'm in a coma for the rest of the day.
Yea I’m so envious of everyone on this thread that’s capable of these 20 min naps. I avoid working from home cuz I know I will nap and wake up two hours later terrified
Yes. Yup. Uh huh.
I don’t only because I want to sleep at the same time every night no matter if I travel or not. If I sleep during the day time, I don’t get sleep until late night.
But I watch random shit in YouTube, Netflix during day time when wfh.
Not if I go over from EY to BCG.
This guy
I’ve done it when I’ve had headaches or just a general blah feeling. But then I also work 10+ hours to ensure work is done
Zzzzzzzz.
