I have a brokerage account that I invests in stocks long term for retirement purposes. 2 questions:
1) Some of my big tech stocks have really outperformed and im thinking about taking profits and reallocating, but I dont want to pay the capital gains tax (e.g. NVDA). Should I just hold it if I think these stocks may slightly underperform sp500 next 2 yrs?

2) Can I open another account for day trading purposes without impacting my current brokerage account in terms of taxes for day traders?

Any book recommendations for parenting an extremely stubborn child? My 4.5 yo middle is giving us such a hard time lately. It varies what sets him off, but one example is: I ask him and big sis to get pajamas on before movie night. Often they come out ready 2 min later but sometimes randomly he’ll say he can’t do it, demand my help, and (when I gently insist he needs to try first) will get so upset that it essentially ruins his evening. he’s otherwise kind, thoughtful, smart, and loving.

My confession is that I have seen the medical field change so much over the past 20 years, that it's unrecognizable in both good and bad ways. More people are leaving than staying, and I am worried the quality of care is dwindling. I try not to burden friends and family with some of the things I've seen recently, but the short version is that I'm no longer sure I have faith or trust in it myself.

Just wanted to share a small win. After 2 months of complete bottle refusal at daycare, my 6 month old has FINALLY accepted it as a way of eating while he’s there. The anxiety, mom guilt, and worry I felt every single day he was there as they squirted milk in his mouth while he cried almost lead me to quit my job so I could keep him home. I’m so so so grateful and feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I could cry from relief! 🥹

Do any insurance carriers have part time positions? I’ve been an underwriter for about 4 years, but have been contemplating staying at home with my kids. Part time seems like the perfect balance, just not sure if I can find that in this industry.

Wanting to start therapy for social anxiety/depression but no idea where to start. Those that see a therapist, how often do you usually go? Ball park price range? Has anyone tried online therapists?

I recently started investing time in my hobbies and I feel like that’s a free therapy. If someone is feeling too anxious or depressed, I would recommend them to try painting, writing or swimming.
