Helo everyone, I had an interview scheduled with Cognizant on last week of Jan 2022 but due to technical error in Verification code I couldn't join interview lobby. I reported the same to the HR and I was told the interview will be rescheduled. Now there's no update from the HR. Could you please guide me how can I proceed or any email address to which I can inform to take the rescheduling process further.
Thanks in advance
Will NYC be quarantined??

My CV is LGBT+ free.
Good. Noone cares about your identity.
I always do. Take me for what I am or don’t hire me. It’s too tiring to try to hide it. I am a lawyer and a member/in leadership of a few bar associations that give it away and they’re prominently on my resume

Yes, k did back in the day. I put the fact that I was part of the LGBT organizations in undergrad and law school. The guy who gave me a call back at my first interview in big law summer associate was gay and later told me that was part of the reason he wanted me to interview with the firm. You never know. My thought when I was much younger if they are going to reject me for that, I don’t want to work there anyway. And that was a long time ago.
How do you say you’re gay on your resume though ? Literally just write it ?

You don't say you're gay outright, but if you have an entry for "Treasurer and singer for CityX Gay Men's Chorus" or some other obviously LGBT organization like your company's pride resource group, readers may make assumptions.

There’s been prior posts about this you can search for… put in community service stuff like HRC or something

I don’t know that putting in pronouns necessarily helps. I actually don’t do this. By doing so you signal how you fall on the political spectrum. Depending on where you’re applying doing so may hurt—or help.
it’s very clear on my linkedin but i typically don’t have enough room on a resume to get around to anything of lgbtq substance.
Bowl Leader
I do. I held a leadership position in an LGBTQIA+ organization. And I've received many interviews in the past with it on there. My thought is.. if I don't get an interview because of it, then I know I'm not going to feel comfortable working there.
I have a separate CV for my LGBTQIA+ activism work I do, which I've used for applying for side hustle / freelance or short term contract work in between my main day-job roles.
There's a hint of support for LGBT+ stuff on the front page of my main CV and my "interests" mentions a little more but the more desperate I get, the more I wonder whether I should tone it down to at least get some work, even if I have to be a bit more cautious in the role and put some of those filters up with colleagues etc. until I know I can relax about it.
It's a different world to the early 2000s but there's still prejudice, hate, misunderstandings, myths out there that can be transferred to how I would be at work by some people.
Part of my job is advocacy for any minority group, so I self disclosed my identity during the interview as "proof of experience" it is not on my CV per say though you could make the assumption based on my particular experience. What I always say is at the end of the day if you're not comfortable with it, you do not have to especially if it's not relevant. It's your business.
Isn’t it nice to know your being hired for your sexuality and not your talent
I don’t.
The election results show exactly why I don’t put anything in my resume or even on LinkedIn that shows my LGBTQ+ or BIPOC identity (beyond picture on LinkedIn). There are still a lot of people out here in the U.S. that are not friendly to people like me.
Always, but I'm trans and there's no way of getting around it.
I don't care what you do with your sexual organs, I just want hear about it.
If you do a great job I'll hire you and I don't care about your identity. If you do a bad job, I'll let you go without consideration to your identity.
