Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Sure. Mostly due to someone becoming 'unstaffable'
Guy didn‘t deliver on the first project, got a warning, didn‘t deliver on the second project, got a final warning and only staffed internally, didn‘t meet expectations on an internal project, kicked out. Rank was manager
Experienced hire (large cap and startup) but no consulting experience

There was this lady who joined my project as a contractor but probably at senior manager rank. She held for 1 month before project laid her off because she couldnt understand the technical architecture of the organisation's integrated systems. She was supposed to. But 1 thing i remember fondly of her is that she said she was laid off from her previous system integrator company and didnt even know it was happening until the last minute. Goes to show how 'heads-down and work' she is.

1. Girl, 2-3 yoe, had a bad temper at work and was abusive towards her juniors. The firm finally had enough when she threw a glass (one of those big ikea glasses) at her manager which almost hit him (and would seriously hurt him if it did as it shattered).
2. Guy (< 1 yoe) was supporting a partner on a mini-extension and took the liberty of having multiple 1:1 calls with client, extending the scope and changing direction of travel, all without the partner’s knowledge. The whole thing blew up and we almost lost a pretty big account.
