Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!
Sitting or standing desk?

Yes. That is usually fine, but two areas where you can get caught: 1) you locate near an airport that is much more expensive and project partners get pissed, and 2) if you have to go to your home office (i.e. Meetings, trainings, etc) you have to foot the bill
Not necessarily but if they have you working an hour and a half in the opposite direction and you want to hotel then you'll have to say something
Interesting. I think NYC is special bc someone based out of there is more likely to find projects there as opposed to chi, atl, Dallas, etc
Yes. Definitely true.
OP. Depends on your practice and skills. I know of many NY folks (all KPMG of course) who are traveling to the cities you listed and have done 6-8 month engagements on the west coast
It can impact taxes. If you can claim NJ tax rate, do it. Nj tax is much lower than ny.
