What level/rank?
I just had a final round with an MD. No case interview for me. Experienced hire 2 years ago. Operations Consulting, Cloud.
How was it? What did questions revolve around? How quickly were you notified that you are getting offer?
It revolved around my experience and how I would fit into the group. There was a concern about my lack of deep tech skills; I can talk to anyone and have a deep PMO background which they needed. The Tech I am currently working on.
Interview was a Friday? And I didn't hear until Wednesday. There was a lot of discussion at what level I should be placed, etc.
Consultant with 0 months at level
I was hired in as a Digital Manager and it was a frustratingly long process. I had two rounds of phone screens, two phone interviews with MDs, and then an in-person interview with a Sr MD on the account they were targeting me for. After all of that (about 5 weeks), I waited about 2 more weeks before I was contacted by HR. We spent two hours (!!!) on the phone basically debating on what level I should come in at. An offer came a few days after that.
A2 are you at the level you would have liked to be at?
A3 - I wanted to come in as a Level 6 Sr. Mgr, but I'm fine with the hiring decision 18 months ago. I have an MD on my account that is pursuing that promotion for me now even though we just finished the review cycle. Promotions can happen anytime now and aren't necessarily tied to annual/midyear reviews as long as a strong business case is made.
How grueling is the final round interview with MD? Is it a fit based interview or should I expect to be bombarded with technical questions?
