I'd day about 80% of my pay. I traveled 100% so didn't have expenses. Moved back home and lived with parents. Once I had status and points, it either alt travel and or use points to stay at hotel to not have to go back to the parents. Did this for 2 years and had a decent social life but frugal. Then I bought a townhouse. Got 3 roommates who paid my mortgage. I was traveling still so only home on weekends with minimal expenses. Took an equity line out and bought another property, this time a sfh and rented it out. I'm still in the th with roommates , renting the sfh and looking to pull another equity line and buy another home but this time a beach house for summer rentals.
D2, yeah pretty much. I live at with my parents and have very few of pocket expenses. I actually live a very comfortable lifestyle but am just very frugal and always seek out the best deals. I plan to "retire" at a young age so money buys security and that is a lot more valuable than stuff for me

@OP I would look to break even or turn a very small profit. I want the interest deduction, opportunity to have a place to go with friends where they can come for free and look to flip it in 5-10 years.
$30k Inc retirement
I graduated from undergrad last may and have been working about 3 months and so far I've saved about 14k since starting work
Beach houses in NJ in certain locations are sure bets. People pay entire mortgage by renting it out for 3 months in the summer. Source: Rented a 4 bedroom 2 bath at the jersey shore for ~$30k
D3 where do u own these properties?
K2, how do you manage the rentals? Rental property management company?
@P3 - NoVa suburbs all metro accessible. Beach house I'm close to pulling trigger is in DE in Lewes.
