What does professionalism mean here?
I talk to my colleagues, managers, and juniors in exactly the same way I talk to everyone else.
Don't do that, everyone can see through it and thinks they are a twat.
Even worse, you cannot trust them to be honest because everything is always fantastic all the time...
Greetings,
I too have noticed this. Plz fix.

@VP1... I’m just gonna assume autocorrect got the best of you on this one LOL
Only unprofessionals get tired of professionalism.

Honestly, dumb logic but I appreciate your opinion.
Sounds like you just haven’t bonded sufficiently to have more meaningful conversations with those people. Convos tend to be superficial when people want to chat to a person, but don’t actually know that person well enough to bring up topics they’re interested in or that you have in common. Start easy - ask about weekend sports, favorite shows on Netflix, or if people have started any new hobbies with more time at home. Show an interest in people, and they’ll open up more, and hopefully your conversations should improve.

This is what I was thinking too. Good input

I talk to most people like they are people and just avoid talking about uncomfortable topics.
Regardless of level if you talk like you have a stick up your ass it will be hard to build any relationships.
I’ve noticed this. I think it’s just people being cautious and super aware their first time meeting with you. Everyone’s remote and it’s hard to get a feel for a person and what their angle is.
Sounds like you need some help with general communication skills. Reach out to H/R. Good luck.

Really? I thought I was pretty clear and direct about how I felt about your logic.

It shouldn’t be level driven- be genuine and speak to everyone with equal level of respect and kindness. I have noticed through my promotions that certain people that were rude/dismissive to me at that same level were suddenly very “professional” in our communication. I 100% judged them for having that type of mentality.
