Unless it’s spelling/grammar or pointing out a factual inaccuracy, I don’t welcome any comments on creative from project management.
I don’t know if it comes from a place of insecurity but it kind of grinds me that creative often gets reduced to a job anyone can do. I’ve sat in on my fair share of “all-hands fire drills” where everyone is invited to put ideas on a sticky note on a wall for a brief/new biz pitch but I’ve never heard of an all-agency PM problem we are asked to weigh in on their stuff. The tricky part is that every human is creative and has ideas. I don’t mind suggestions but I also feel that I’ve worked very hard to get my job and with that work affords me a disproportionate weight in deciding which creative direction we go in
Not a creative but I feel this. Drives me crazy even if it’s not my work. I always want to ask “please show me your portfolio again?”

Everyone in the room deserves a voice, sometimes the best ideas can come from PMs. That being said, there's a difference between caring about the work and overstepping into the creative. If the latter, speak up. Run the room. If you set boundaries firmly and respectfully, most will get the message. And if it's a regular thing, escalate to your CD.
