Anyone in SF/ San Jose? f25
Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

The only agencies that require clearances are DoD and DHS
You are correct!
You’ll be so fine. There are so many consultants who smoke and have obtained and continue to have clearances
Look. I’ve admitted to smoking lots of weed in my past and have a TS. I’m not advising you on how to fill out any damn form. Hell, I don’t even remember what forms these people are talking about.
Just be honest and go through the process. If you fail, you fail... ain’t nothing else to it
They will always require at least a public trust, but that is basically just a background check. What they care about varies, but I’ve heard IRS being more lax about past use and BEP being more strict, for example. Past use isn’t necessarily disqualifying as long as it has been long enough time though. You can get a TS with past occasional use if it’s been a few years.
Yes and continue to smoke Don’t worry unless you have to take a drug test and recently smoked
If you need access to the agency, you'll need to complete the sf-85. It asks about drug use (I suggest looking that up online to see what they ask specifically)
If you want access to federal agencies (piv card) then you compete the sf-85. If you need a security clearance (secret, top secret, confidential) then you complete the sf-86. So if you want to work for federal agencies then you care. And if you're using drugs, even marijuana, and want to work for a federal agency, then you care.
I was able to obtain a secret clearance in a little more than a year and admitted to doing drugs much harder than marijuana
