I'm new to investing :
2 questions
1 - where should I invest my Deloitte 401k in ? Is the vanguard institutional 500 index trust a good place to just put my 401k and forget about it.
2 - I recently opened a fidelity account and have savings I want to invest and want to invest a small percentage every paycheck without worrying about trading it . What's the safest place to invest in and not worry about it for the next 10 years ? VOO? QQQ?

Lots a good option. I don’t think any have residency requirements, but could be wrong. You could just use a plan that your brokerage offers if you want to keep it in one place. I use the Illinois plan since I get a deduction, and it is good
That is 5 state options. All you need to do is look into them and only 1 needs to be good. I don’t see the issue unless they all stink
Same boat. Got no good answers when I was asking. Went with vanguard nevada plan. Just signed up so have no feedback yet but overall fees are pretty low. You have to make an initial contribution of $3k and get a choice of an age based fund, or their index funds or a mix if you want
We have NYS because we are residents and get state income tax deductions

Oops, didn’t realize hit the wrong reply button. Yes responding to MC1 NYS comment. I know West Virginia and NYS plans are great with performance and low fees. But Fidelity won’t offer them. I don’t particularly like what they are offering. Just thought would be good if everything is in one place. I probably have to set it up on the plan’s website rather than Fidelity. Btw, from WA state.
