Does anyone have any advice and tips as to how to handle being overworked but can’t leave or take any days off because of being short of techs plus the management and front staff won’t don’t any adjustments to ease up the work load for techs . And what do you tell yourself as this is happening. Thanks in advance

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. Busy season was rough, things are looking better now as things return to normal. Still working crazy hours if you count the daycare duties on top of utilization targets.

I’m a third year interested in retooling from lit to general corp, but they prefer someone with 3+ years of corporate experience. They’re also looking for an M&A with 1+ years, so it may be easier to aim for that, but I’ve heard horror stories re WLB for M&A. Would still try it out tho bc I’m desperate to leave lit, but don’t want to make a faux pas. Any insights appreciated!

I only received the job offer letter from the consultancy, but no Appointment Letter is given yet.
