Working on a divorce where the father is claiming that he is unemployed because of the previous administration’s actions with DACA (he was brought to the States as a child). I know that the memo rescinding DACA was ultimately vacated—but OC is unsure whether this would count as voluntary unemployment for child support purposes. So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I recently moved from litigation to transactional and am struggling to reach billable targets. In litigation it was no problem hitting 1800+ hours but don’t see how I’m going to come anywhere close to that in a transactional role.

How does one decide to take risks and apply for news job when the state of the economy and the world is ever changing. We know salaries are going up, but employers struggle doling out the cash. Is it better to stick where you are or jump into something new?

Am I the only one who fears a third world war is among us? I've been studying the circumstances that led to WW1 and WW2, and let me tell you, we're not as far as they were. I hope the better judgment of people avoids such a catastrophic outcome.

Getting disability rated…I retire next year and seeing the doc for all my issues. They’re listed in Genesis under my active issues. Does that automatically count for when I retire or do I need to get appointments addressing these issues again after meeting with the VA?

I always have faith that everything will make sense, and we will move into a better era. Sometimes it's challenging to maintain that faith, but it's always there.
