How is the US Tax Consultant role at PwC different from Biglaw tax work?

Please who knows about the advisory practice within the PwC financial crime unit (Canada Acceleration Centre)? I understand it is a client non-facing advisory role. Would it be a good career decision for someone coming from GRC firms like Kroll, Control Risk or Exiger? I am concerned about the negative reviews relating to the PwC acceleration centres in general, and getting stuck in a role which does not provide growth opportunities. Thank you.

Over a year ago, I lateraled from a firm doing mostly land use/development to a volume lender debt finance practice. By volume I mean I’m on 15+ deals a day. Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.
