I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.
Cognizant
Hi all! I’m looking to connect with folks who either work at Coinbase or have interviewed recently for the Business Operations and Strategy Manager or similar role. I am looking to schedule my first interview which I believe is a consulting style case. So any details you can provide, I am all ears. The next interview will be a presentation. Again if you have any experience/advice on this, I’m ready to listen.
Thanks in advance! Help me escape Deloitte pleaseeee. I want this job sooo much!

McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

It’s definitely not just you. As you move up, you’re often paid more for your experience, decision-making, and ability to solve problems, not just the number of tasks you complete. It can feel weird, especially if you’re used to grinding, but part of growth is realizing that impact > effort. You earned it!
Grinding lol that just sounds weird. You mean working on you. In all areas of your life. Also planned bc the most important thing in my opinion is yes kicking ass, and doing well w other. But mostly my family. So if you really wanna break it down. Would you rather be the provider / caretaker / dabble in education/"and work sure but not for pennies on the dollar. It makes the companies stakeholders on edge when they truly understand the game here. And I don't play mind games. Thats idiotic. I mean life how it plays out. Judging someone or even worse taking advantage of them ....before you even know them. Idk. This team is enjoyable. I like the conversation. Just very one sided. Which is okay. Bc that one sided Ness shows their insecurities and lack of worldly wisdom bc of their fear to fail. And their judgements show they ate very critical. Which is okay. You need discipline but some skills are old and maybe pops had it n daughter or son inherent a vessel well oiled still being run by pops. N pops is probably a man of perfection. So negotiating actually back to that should be very simple. Talk to the right person. Hear them out. Then be heard but when the time is right. Like 1 week MAX.
I was making $50k a year with a $10k bonus in my second job out of college working anywhere from 50 to 75 hours a week.
18 years later, I make 5x that in base and nearly $200k in bonus and LTIs, while working 35-45 hours a week on average. There are a few weeks where travel and certain events mean 16 hour days all included, but hardly the same as spending 15 hour days stuck behind my desk.
I feel no intimidation - I’m paid for the value of my work, not the amount., I’ve also worked hard enough to earn the right to own my hours - to say no to meetings that interfere with family time.
Note: I do not expect anyone on my team to work more than their contracted hours and spend a decent amount of time coaching my directors on managing their workloads and workloads of their teams to make sure no one is working the hours I did when I was in their position.
Enjoy it - you’ve earned it.
Are you seriously questioning your comp because your work life is more balanced compared to others drowned in work? lol way to jinx the peace of mind you have early in your careers 🤦🏻♀️. If you are that worried about workload ask for more it could mean you are not challenged enough but no one is ever paid enough don’t get comfortable in what you make vs what you do. At my level I wish I made 30-40k more for the work I have to balance at times.
There’s a TikTok of a homeowner complaining to the HVAC manager that the technician fixed it too fast and he feels it shouldn’t cost but half the price. The manager replied that he could’ve sent someone with half the experience to take twice as long but you wanted fast and right. It’s about the experience. It pays.
