Does anyone know if there is a Catholic lawyers bowl? I’m leaving consulting to practice law, but I promise not to leave this bowl! Though I do wish this bowl was more active 🥺

Perhaps we should try to make it more active!

For sure we should!

What should we talk about Catholic current events? Good upcoming podcasts (like catechism in a year!!!)?

Speaking of podcast, I used to listen to the Lanky Guys and loved them. They would read the Sunday readings and then show how they connected. They paused about a year ago and I really miss them. Know of anything like that?

Can you be both, catholic and lawyer ? ;)

funny

I try my best to be the best version of both yes 😉😂

Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?

Hi Everyone,
I need your views and suggestions. I have two doubts:
1. Is it fair to leave an organisation (big brand) after a year as the environment is real toxic and there’s no career growth as well in terms of good work.
2. If I have to make a switch do I really have to target big brands only or can try for medium and small size companies too.

I get to Analyze data every now and then to help make business decision, but there’s less emphasis on this. What tools or resources should I be utilizing to help myself grow and keep pushing. This company is young and growing.

What are your thoughts on the marital debt? Do you ever talk about it or ask for the debt to be paid by your spouse?

I’m a cradle Catholic and my faith has been a big part of my identity. I’ve been a liturgical minister, altar server, lector.. I’ve regularly gone for Catholic retreats, adult Catholic education etc. - all this to say I’ve been pretty serious and invested in my faith
However I’m having a crisis of faith right now. I’m appalled and embarrassed by the way in which the Catholic Church in America (where I now live) is IMO unashamedly political (cont.)
