I work in Fintech Startup and we are recently re-evaluating our comp structures.

My Boss and I were going back-and-forth regarding the structure for our engineering and developer team.

Do most Dev teams have a bonus structure in addition to their base? If so, what metrics is this bonus based off of?
Or do the Engineers just get a higher annual raise than other depts?

i left deloitte risk advisory due to personal reasons in sep 2021 (time off since july 2021) as the work got a bit much and my situation at home was complex.

i applied for a snr consultant role in consulting (strategy & ops, indus. redesign & innov.) and saw my app. got shortlisted. this role looks more suited for me and im super interested in it, more so than my prev. exp at D but you never know haha. whats the process like/how likely will i progress?

The company I work for has archaic job titles / role names in Oracle. My current title does not reflect what I do or the ‘true’ role I have. I’ve tried to get this changed, but the role in the approved job bank are all old / not relevant. I’m updating my LinkedIn profile and resume and not sure what to put for my title? Thoughts on what I should do?

I have an offer from the National Bank of Australia (a third party), with a joining date of October 31. Should I reject it and wait until I receive the offer letter from Deutsche Bank? How long does IBM takes to send an offer letter for immediate joiner? I have only 2days.

I asked 3 of my higher ups to write me letters of recommendation a month ago when I put in my resignation. I went on PTO for a couple weeks & followed up with my manager today. He told me “actually I was told we aren’t allowed to write them for you. Sorry.”

Finished my power day @ capital one. I was actually told from HR another manager was really impressed with me and wanted to hire me for another position. Stated I don't have to interview again (I interviewed with this person during my power day) He said he was waiting for approval from his VP. Is serving 1 week notice mean being in bad books of employer? I am just exhausted and feel burnt out from constant weekend work and 15hrs of work daily for months and no resource to help to share the work load due to budget constraints. Finally had to pull the plug and I am so glad i did.But leadership wants 2 to 3 weeks of notice whereas I am serving 1 week only.
