AVP is 175-250 TC and VP is 200 - 300 TC, higher bonus exemptions are made on a case by case basis
Only TD has AVPs.
at RBC they start at 200 for VPs, but im told theyre nickle and diming you if you get <250
Thanks! And assuming that’s base, any idea on bonus?

There's lots to unpack here. Major considerations are:
1) There can be a material difference in pay between the Big5. In general RBC is the highest and CIBC is the lowest
2) Line of business, revenue ownership, reporting line etc. can impact compensation wildly
3) Sr Director/AVP and VP roles especially can have enormously wide compensation bands - even if they are not advertised as such on the banks internal systems. There will be instances of Big5 VPs making $200K TC (super low end) and I even know of one that is approaching $1M TC (super high end and likely an outlier)
4) Negotiating power. Consultants coming from MBB or Tier2 demand higher comp packages and the banks will often play ball. Counter offers from other companies help. For instance I know from experience (yes I've received offers) that it's not abnormal for MBB folks to get packages that are way outside the normal range - this is mostly true for Director roles and above.
If you just want the quick take, below are the numbers I was provided from one of the higher paying Big5 during my last round of chats:
Sr. Director / AVP = $300K+ TC
VP = $400K+ TC
How many yoe is it for Avp or vp?
Interested as well. I’m guessing 300 to 400 depending on negotiations
That’s for a VP I’m guessing?
Wow that is low…but then again bank titles are inflated
i mean.. (non cap markets) hierarchy is: vp, svp/evp, c-suite. just that when there are 800 vps in rbc, the pay’s gonna be lower than you expect
