To answer all of these questions:
Is this Implementation?
Yes and no. DA (Delivery Assurance) is under the implementation umbrella but they do a unique subset of work within implementation. It is not a role similar to that of an implementation analyst/associate, but it is rather a specialist role focused on project management.
Will I have the same opportunities as someone on the generalist path?
I presume you’re talking about DA vs. McK’s BA position (or equivalent in other regions). The short answer is no — you are limited in your scope to certain project work that pertains to project management. You are client facing, you get most of the perks that being at McK typically entails, but your overall opportunities are definitely different. The career path is different than a generalist consultant, but comp is comparable (if not identical).
