Sounds like D have bagged themselves a winner with their new hire here

likefunny

No promises. I have no idea what kind of test could be done, or how long something stays in your system.

Odds are probably in your favor (been here almost 3 years, never had a client who needed it).... but if you haven’t done anything yet, don’t.

If you have... nothing you can do about it now so not much point worrying. It’ll either be an issue or it won’t

What do the acronyms stand for?

like

They are clients op. Clients that require consultants to test for system access and badge access. Google the acronym with the word, bank.

Ok so if i dont get on a project for a few weeks after I start, i should be good ?

If you're in commercial, you can safely ignore most clients onboarding assistant's requests for drug testing or background checks. Top tier clients you will be rolled off or seriously dinged for doing that, though.

like

GS, RBC require it. Good luck

DB as well. Good luck

Wasn’t even drug tested for DOD projects in GPS. It is up to the project. Most do not but some do occasionally

like

What kind of drugs are you testing?

like

Some clients do

Really just depends on the project. If you’re in GPS, good luck

They should

I mean, if you fail a drug test with a client you know your career in advisory is pretty much over, right? Just don't use drugs again. It's not worth it.

If you work for a government contract you probably will be Deloitte themselves does not. You might be required to for the client you’ll be working for but big chance that you won’t. Lots of judgement in this thread for no reason. You’ll be fine OP

Has anyone traveling to Canada recently? I am planning to go for four days and part of the documentation is to use the ArriveCAN app which has you complete a questionnaire. One of the questions on there is whether or not you have a suitable quarantine plan, in the event that border control requires you too. I guess I would just extend my stay at the hotel if required, does anyone know if that's an acceptable answer if asked by border control?

What’s something you wish you had done as part of the car buying search when you bought a car? We just test drove a GX for my wife, and we tried having her lift the car seat to put in the car, and she couldn’t do it. When I bought my car two years ago, I wish I had gauged not only the car seat, but where to put the doggos.

Coming in as a Sr Analyst as an experienced hire has to be the most pathetic event of my professional career. After leaving as a Consultant, I can’t help but feel that was the worst choice, re: coming in at the same level as most 22 year olds. Thank you for listening to my rant & good day to the trolls who pounce on this post
