I love it! Great way for management to provide non-monetary perks, compete with industry for job flexibility, and increases team morale to provide autonomy. Honestly the managers who don’t allow wfh sound like those who are bad at delegating, time management, or effective teaching. Obviously it’s a privilege, not a right, so I would crack down hard on anyone who abuses this
Considering that we have to communicate with our counseling leaders and management when we are to work from home, the answer is no. They sent out a nasty email mentioning how like kids we need to report to the grown ups.
WFH will grow as the e largest expenses for EY are people, real estate, and insurance. We can't trim people and grow. Insurance cost is somewhat beyond our direct control. But reducing office space is under out control
Think it depends on the office and group you work in. Some are more supportive of WFH than others. It’s a privilege, not a right. See if you can wfh a few days a week to start with and once you can show you are effective working remotely you might be able to increase the number of days you work remotely
It shouldn’t affect growth as long as you do a good job and stay connected
