Frame.io is great, I also think Vimeo is viewed as premium by creatives and wouldn’t think twice about.
I have to be honest, my impression would be that studio is less professional. I’m not saying that’s accurate or fair. But it’s my gut reaction.
I appreciate the honesty.
Wiredrive is dogshit from a UX perspective, for what it’s worth
Depends on the size of the studio.
Why should a small indie outfit pay significantly more for services that don't provide proportional improvements in quality, when comparing price? Vimeo is fine. I've worked for a number of agencies and media conglomerates and nobody has ever mentioned anything about this, they hire studios that use Vimeo all the time.
Not everyone is looking to hire a studio that focuses on production quality and presentation. Sometimes they just need a video company or a freelancer who can knock something out quickly, or B2B or explainer videos, etc., and Vimeo or Behance are perfectly acceptable for that.
Judge the work, not the platform it’s on. Reels used to be on 3/4, VHS or DVD. And lest we forget, VHS, DVD, Cassettes and Vinyl are are inherently cooler than the Internet these days.
for director reels - simian is pretty useful to go through a batch of videos easily.
but for work sharing - I don’t think my team and I don’t care if it was on Vimeo or Frame io links as long as it’s easy to view
As long as the water to is good, and the work selected to be shared with me has been crated with some thought (not just a rep blindly sending) I don’t mind what’s it’s been sent on.

Simian plans start at $150/month. Wiredrive starts at $350/month.
Depends on the ask. Multi-million dollar shoot? Social campaign? My kid’s school play? Either way, if I am sent links that haven’t auto-disabled the ability to download a reel/film (looking at you, Vimeo), that’s a huge turn off for me.
You don’t want to be able to download? Doesn’t that make your life harder? Is there a security risk you are implying?
I would notice it because I think 90% of what I get is on Simian, wiredrive or Frame. Not sure if it would really be a dealbreaker, but it just would be unusual
