When I worked for PwC in Texas, I would have gotten paid out if I had vacation but I used it all before leaving. I had several colleagues leave and take an additional pay from vacation accrual
Anybody know the rule in New York?
KPMG pays out but New York is a if you don’t use it you lose it state. So if you leave after fiscal year ends when they reset PTO. You get shit.
They paid me for my PTO days when I left.
They pay out in all states. Deloitte does as well I believe. Pwc only pays in states it’s required. EY pays out in zero states bc unlimited.

If your last day is after October 1, do you get paid out for ANY rollover time? So I think KPMG let’s you roll over 100 hours max - but not sure if those are paid out.
Yes - they’ll pay you out for ACCRUED but carryover time is essentially a “I’m doing you a favor by letting you keep this time” kind of thing. Other firms have not always paid out carryover time. The policy says you get paid out for accrued time. But as of 10/1, the view might be that you have 0 accrued time (but 100 carryover).
That’s the part that’s unclear to me.
