Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

Just like nearly every where, some are underpaid (in which case we try and adjust accordingly to not lose talent), others are paid just right, and a few are over paid. I think we aim to be pretty equitable and benchmark well against firms much larger. 401k match is under par but slowly improving.
The more information you have, the better position you're in for negotiation. I had a couple people working for at the end of last year who were both within $5k of my salary and I managed to get a decent bump based on higher expectations in role I am in. Anything is possible, especially if you're similar years experience and equally well received by clients and peers. Rarely ever hurts to ask so long as you aren't overly aggressive in your demands. Make a strong case for yourself and put it in writing.

Can you negotiate and ask for higher salaries after being there to be more in line with peers?
Most everyone we brought over from big 4 or acn received 10-15% pay increases at the lower levels.
Experienced consultants and higher got the same pay for a lot fewer hours of work.
All in all...i compared the hours i work here against my director and senior manager friends and i easily make 30% more per hour.
Now do they make more total...yeah. but do i make a lot and work a ton less hours - oh yeah.
And if you are wondering....im talking about pulling 180-190 as a manager over here.
Now is this normal....not really...but its sweet for those of those that are brutally efficient and are drivers
Making 90k 3 yrs out of undergrad. I want 115k for C level. Is that reasonable slalom folks?
