How many hours are considered 100% utilization for S3/S4? Are we based off 40 or 45 now in SaT?
Wise ones, need advice. I’m an industry hire, new to consulting. Started in Dec as SM,finished my only project in March. Benched since and volunteering to help on proposals & practice building but feels weird to be benched for this long. I only learnt about utilization rates for CRTs recently. New to this model of networking to get staffed. Was a high performer in my industry and had my fingers in many pies. Not sure what being benched for this long means for my career. All advice welcome. New to ACN, M level, was staffed briefly on a short term project (4 weeks) then got pulled from that project to work on a different one but that only lasted 6 weeks. Utilization is low less than 35% so I’m concerned and don’t have a solid plan for turning things around. As an experienced hire it seems like a battle to establish yourself and find consistent work and develop your network. Did some BD work but was never provided to it w a chargeable code. Any suggestions on turning things around?
I am getting married in Decemeber and am on H1B. I wanted to work from India for a couple if weeks to reach my utilization target since its my promo year. Are we allowed to do that? If yes, what is the process? Otherwise i will have to take pto for a month.
What is the benefit to me of having high utilization? Just a somewhat higher bonus in exchange for overworking myself?
If HR is on the career outlook discussion invitation, does that mean I will be coached out? First year associate here. Decent performance but pretty low utilization
Is 80% utilization compulsory or is there some flexibility around it. Also what's the timeline around it? I heard it's April 22 but till that time only data till April 15 is updated. What if after 30 Apr update it again falls back below 80%
My dad is turning 65 soon and yesterday he told me he’s super unhappy at his job bc he’s not getting promoted. He feels like his talents are not being utilized. I feel for him but he’s so close to retirement and he’s the sole breadwinner for him and my mom (brother and I offered support but they decline). Has anyone been in a similar situation? I feel like he will get discouraged with his job search if he doesn’t hear back from places and will be even more unhappy. Anyone have any leads on (con)
Does EY show the pay scales whenever people get raise? For example - show the high and low range? Or, do they explain how much things are weighed when it comes to making a decision about pay (example: utilization rate is 50% in determining how high your next raise is). I heard PwC does that and it seems to be a lot more transparent.
Does sick day count towards utilization ?
Hi Big4 Fish, does anyone know what will happen if you can’t reach 1,800 CSH goal? I estimated my total CSH may be 1,700 by the year end and my utilization is 78%. I’m a TC, will I be in trouble?
Need some thoughts: Sr3 -Office transfer approved and starts in Sept but I haven’t got any work assign from the new office. I’m taking 4 weeks off before June 30 when my rolled vacay expires. 1. if EY will cut ppl out after June will I be on the list since no one knows me/my work ethics, no assignment at the new office and my utilization will be low after vacay. 2. Should I even consider looking to buy/rent in new city since most client will WFH til at least end of this year through next year?
S2 pwc audit, joined pwc at the end of last the december. Still going through busy season but is it bad my utilization stands at only 49%?PwC
I don't think my utilization was adjusted while I was on leave. I see it read as adjusted to 85% with1768 hours instead of 87% with 1855 hours on rpm. Anyone know where I can start to get this looked into? I haven't even used all my PTO and will lose over 3 weeks because it's messing up my utilization. Advice?
All of the suggestions on how to maintain WLB fall to individuals - but ultimately if the firm keeps selling as much work as we’re selling, we can’t deliver if lots of folks reduce hours. Seems like a supply/demand mismatch. How can we empower our teams to prioritize WLB and also get all the work done, when utilization is still so high?
McK 🐟: Which holidays does the firm observe in the US, and what utilization expectations are there for associates?

Anyone with experience applying for a global mobility assignment? I've heard it's highly competitive and difficult to get. Any insights?
Client: could you get this to me first thing Monday morning? Me: Of course, no problem! Narrator: There was, in fact, a huge problem. Jenny already had weekend plans and now has to cancel. Sorry Jenny
What does everyone want to do after consulting? Role/company to make it interesting, not "industry".
Thoughts on working at Sonder? I’m at a great tech company but looking into their product positions.
Looking to sever ties with my financial advisor and take matters into my own hand. I’m 27 with 250k cash (flipped a house), 50k in 401k, 30k in brokerage. Medium risk appetite / hoping for FIRE. Recs?
Every Monday .
TFW you walk right through security, the terminal, and straight onto the plane without breaking stride 😎
The worst is waking up an hour before your alarm goes off on a Monday morning and not being able to go back to sleep. It's going to be a long day...
