Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.
Does Coforge pays the Variable full?
Hello Sharks, My HR interview is scheduled with an US MNC for one of the niche skills in MarTech space for an IT consultant role. May I know how much salary should I expect? I am expecting around 35 to 45 LPA My current CTC is 18 LPA and YOE 10 years. This is a fully remote position

I’m an AS at Edelman making 61, yes we are underpaid
I believe it’s 45-55 in Chicago
They will most likely offer you a salary in the lower range. I assume they are thinking, "They'll be happy with this amount since it is more than what they currently make", even though it is in the lower range for that city. Just make sure you have reasons why you deserve the amount you asked and that you've done your research. HR told me Glassdoor wasn't reputable, so maybe Payscale? Use all the standard negotiating tips. Good luck!
Have you already talked to them about transferring? I've been told they only make lateral moves for transfers, but have seen a few exceptions for some people who transferred into the NYC office. It will be hard to negotiate a salary out of their low range if it is a promotion too, but definitely go for it!
Did the same. It was sometime ago but they didn’t bump up my salary to the market rate I will tell you that much... (true also for several other colleagues I know). If they are paying for your move and visa they may not also bump up your salary.... play hard ball if you like but I found they corrected my salary once I was there and had proved myself a little. It sucks and is slightly exploitative so hopefully they have got better at it...... because some folks from other markets were paid ALOT less than their domestic counterparts. That said, it also depends how much you want to move. Bear in mind the US offices are some of the most sought after (Although I don’t know why as I believe there are better opportunities and office cultures elsewhere!!). Appreciate you need to live and be paid fairly but also assume you are moving for the opportunity and experience too so focus on what is fair and don’t get greedy! Good luck! 70k seems a little high to me for Edelman fwiw
Ok regardless they will likely only bump your salary a little unless you are a superstar performer and have high level connections to advocate for you.... if it is considerably more you are honestly better going elsewhere imho
Regardless of if you get a salary bump, they’ll even you out when you get promoted again. You won’t get as much of a raise lol. It’s a joke
Edelman strong arms you based in their reputation as a top PR firm - I was there for 3.5 years, transferred internationally and got NO raise at all and only 3500 moving assistance. Notoriously cheap, they have a written policy to not allow salary raises with intercompany office transfer
Or other large agencies!
Whoah - seems low. Reading some posts that you can top off at 70K. Is that possible or crazy?
That’s HORRIBLE pay imo
What seems reasonable to ask for?
75
I second @SAE1... and in NY I think even $85k should be acceptable for that role but I know Edelman’s pay is terrible.
70k sounds like an AS but I could be wrong. Also depends on M/F, YOE and practice
I would look at Glassdoor!
@edelman 1 if there’s an AS making 70 at Edelman they are wildly underpaid
When I was an SAE I made 50
Is it better to go in asking for 75K - 80K? Coming from another Edelman office
If you are coming in from another Edelman office, the chances of getting a massive salary bump are limited in my experience.... it will depend on what you are on currently....
