I’m guessing this is for Canada?

Accenture RSUs are not guaranteed and only offered to about 30% of the SM workforce.

like

They are part of my package, so I guess they are guaranteed. 60K over 3 years

like

How many years at SM? Go with SF. Negotiate bit higher base.

like

I have heard that Accenture WLB is better than the big 4, hence the transition from industry to Consulting might be easier ?

like

This is actual tougher than it seems. By base salary, it would seem that Accenture would be the better offer. However, Accenture will not give you large salary increases until you are promoted. The non-promotion raises are generally around the 3-5% range (when the economy is good). Myself and several of my colleagues did not get raises last year during the pandemic. Accenture bonuses are definitely not 35%. So, Salesforce is much better in regards to bonuses. I don't know much about Salesforce's culture. But, you will earn every penny that they pay you here at Accenture. I would make a decision more so based on fit here. Where did you like the people more and feel you would be most successful? I do think that the Accenture offer is competitive for an SM in Canada. If you were in the U.S. (specifically NY or SF), I would tell you to ask for more. But, this may be the best they can do in Canada.

Salesforce arguably has one of the best cultures around. And CSG at Salesforce is a great place to be. Big Poppa Mark puts a lot of emphasis on customer success. I'd take the Salesforce offer every damn day.

like

No annual bonus offered by ACN, in your package? That’s a fairly large part of SM compensation, and makes up for the relatively small raises. But maybe it’s different in Canada. But I’m surprised.

like

Too high? 10-15% is low based on my 5 years at SM. I’m Consulting, though so maybe it’s different for Tech

190 is low for SM. At least 220

Oh ok. Didn’t realize it is CA.

Salesforce. Much better wlb and culture.

Recently had an phone interview for an Engineering Position and I was asked what my salary expectations were. I was somewhat caught off-guard and ended up giving a lower number than I should have. I was asked to come in for a 2nd interview today and I'm regretting having given a lower number initially. Is there anyway to recover from this if my interview goes further down the road, or am I stuck at the range I intially provided? Thanks for any input and sorry for thr long question.

Joined D in August. For insurance I opted for a few addons amounting to 26K to be paid from my end. In my previous Organization, they would deduct these addon amounts in 4/8/12 equal instalments. In D they deducted the whole part in this months salary. Does D not have the option to deduct in instalments? The in hand salary was low and I can barely cover my fixed financial commitments and basic needs.

Who here has experience using an outside offer to negotiate your pay at Deloitte? I know I’m valued (off cycle raise/retention bonus in addition to market adjustment coming)… but still 30 - 40k underpaid compared to what I’m seeing in the market. I like Deloitte and the work I do so I’d like to try and make it work, but know I need to play hard ball to see action. Would really appreciate advice and or tips for this process!

I was already earning $85k plus bonus one year after I started trailhead. I’m not your typical newbie admin.

How can I set the stage this year to negotiate a lower billable hours expectation instead of a raise? As a woman I'm hesitant to be open about my reason: I want more time at home with my kids. I lateraled to this firm a year ago for WLB and they are indeed flexible on WFH which helps. Salary is a bit below average for mid-size firms like mine in my area, and I didn't get a raise or bonus this year because I didn't hit the billable target (1900). Ideally I'd keep my salary but go to 1600 hours.
