I would look at this as tours of duty or phases of life. Want to be with your kids when they are little could change as they grow and are in school. There is no shame in slowing down in one part of your life as another part changes rapidly.
The love you show your kids now will make them better people and the world will be better for it.
Thank you ❤️
Absolutely! You are in a phase of life where your ambition and drive is with your family. There is no shame in that. When they are older and don’t need as much from you, your ambition can shift back to work. You still have ambition and drive, it’s just focused somewhere else right now.
Thanks for the thoughtfulness
It's just a matter of priorities. And thinking about what's really important. I mean, we're not saving the world, we're just doing marketing. Having a leadership role may matter in that it can provide a greater income, but sacrificing family commitments may not make it worthwhile. It's a lot to think about, and there's nothing wrong with asking oneself those questions.
That makes sense!
Where are you based? Your quality of life depends heavily on this

My ambition entirely changed once I became a mother. That is my #1 job. I’m only working elsewhere to give my kids a good quality of life. We like our vacations too much!
