So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Just not true that SVPs are 15-20 years of experience. It is more like 8-12
Depends on relevance of experience
Depending your current firm and which group you’re apply to (e.g., EI, TRS). Some big 4 SMs come in as SVP, some as Director. It really depends on your experience and area of expertise. 15-20 years is definitely not true.

This will largely depend on how relevant your experience is. While you’ll find internal promotes can be a bit younger, experienced hires (specially at SVP and Director levels) are typically really senior.
Im not surprised they’d bring you in at SVP, what firm are you currently at?
Context: SVP with 6 yrs pre-MBA and 3 yrs post-MBA.
Well what I wanted to ask was does it make sense to bring this up now or wait until I go through the process - who knows may not even get it... given wunderlic lol
One more point - we don’t take pleasure in lowballing people in terms of comp or levelling. It is not our people strategy, but it also doesn’t make sense. If someone can perform at a higher level, why not allow them to do it? We pride ourselves (and our selling point) is our senior model - the only valid and real reason you’re being reviewed as a SVP is because we don’t think you’ll be successful as a Director immediately. You can prove our initial assessment wrong during your interviews, and we’ll be happy to adjust that assessment.
I’m not HR, I swear. I’ve just been interviewing a long time.
AP digital. All my experience has been in Tech digital and CIO strategy
OP. What is your expected salary. I heard svp makes between 180-220k base and director 230-250

SVP here, 50-60% for my level is common. Keep in mind the base of a sample of SVPs will vary depending on when they were hired.
I also asked the recruiter give me some idea of base so I know a bit if we are on same page ...the recruiter goes it all depends on level you come in at
Have you had TC discussions with the recruiter yet? That was in my initial discussion with HR.
