Call the recruiter to check before you put in your notice with current employer. The welcome email doesnât mean your background check has gone through. I had the same situation when I was hired. I had to really get on the recruiter to push my background check through. Something that should take 48 hrs at most to turn around somehow took 2 weeks, and when I finally started making a stink about it it was miraculously completed within a day...
@EY1: Thank you! I reached out to my recruiter yesterday (Thursday) asking for an update. It looks like there were some components still pending (employment and court) I informed the recruiter that we may need to discuss a change of start date in order for me to provide proper 2 week notice. I then get an email this morning for ONB Part 2 (I9 paperwork, W4, Direct Deposit, orientation schedule, and Performance Counselor etc.) I asked the recruiter if it was okay for me to book travel for orientation and they said they did not see an issue in doing so. Does this mean by BGC cleared? I hate to keep asking them, but feel like the process has been a tad confusing. Can you let me know if receiving the ONB Part 2 is a good indicator that youâre good to go?
... but not sure if that means Iâm good to go and ready to start? I requested a background check copy which would be sent once it was completed but have not received that from the vendor so Iâm confused. I donât want to put in my 2 weeks until Iâm cleared but also not sure if the Welcome to EY email was the indicator? I know I could probably ask my Recruiter but also didnât want to sound silly and thought fellow đ May be able to help. Thank you!
