EY GDS appraisal system is the worst in the world

Let's take mine as example

Last year I got progression with exceptional contribution rating

This year my performance was as even better than last year with several partner level appreciation and value adds done.

But this time I got valued contribution ( no promotion or progression)

Reason - last year I got progression and exceptional. Hence they can't give anything this year.

I was like wtf dude. Are you serious?

What has been your average % raise on a non-promo year over the course of your career?

What are the dos and donts of obtaining a competitive offer to get a raise? What about timing? Is it tacky to do it right after promo season?

I'm 21 but I graduated college really early and I'm a analyst on track for promotion next year. Most guys my age are still in school and the ones older than me are hesitant because I look really young and I'm 6-7 years younger than most of them . Has anyone navigated dating in a similar situation

@Capco what’s the comms/content space like? I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews re: consultancy jobs, but that’s not my focus. I ask as I’m looking into a potential position at Capco, but concerned I could be leaving a more “secure” company (BofA) for a raise at another org. that has a lot of room for improvement.

GDS folks, a colleague of mine has defaulted on timesheets (more than 3) at senior level and was rated as Progressive. Is that the sole factor for not him not being a rated as differentiator?
