Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

I don't think anyone calls to reject.. Rejection is a cold email 👽
Stay connected. Got turned down a job over the phone and then a few months later asked me to interview with new group and here I am.
Ive been called twice to be told that the company has decided to pass. I think call is much more respectful and if you're working w a professional they will driver bad news over phone. Sorry...
To tell you the decision rationale. With strong promising candidates who perhaps just weren't a fit this happens. A sign of respect. But that's more of a call you to debrief than a scheduled meeting.
Potentially if you were referred or maybe you got the job!!!
But I got a call today to say D is making me an offer so this time it was a good call 🤗
I'm in TTS we did recruiting about 2 weeks ago and on average it takes 3 weeks for our recruiting team to get the approval letter finalized and send it to candidate
Hell I didn't even get an email after multiple interviews.
EY3 is on point. If it is a NO then be sure to stay connected. Sounds like they may have had to make a hard choice. Don't lose any sleep over it friend!
Our recruiting team has some challenges ... approval to offer takes centuries, literally. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Calling the recruiter is always better than email ... try that maybe. What group is the role in?
In my practice we do debrief if it's a no but this sounds more like a follow up. Potentially they want you to speak with someone else.
It's fine if they pass... But gosh what an awkward call. What do I say? Ok thanks?
E3 how do you debrief? What will they want to discuss?
Well...better luck next time!!! 😂😂😂
2 weeks since in person interviews with EY, not a word out of the recruiters. Emailed them Wednesday asking when I can expect a decision and still nothing. This point if I get the job (which I doubt) I may reject based on lack of professional courtesy
It really depends on the demand and the responsiveness of the people you interviewed with. I think the recruiter needs to get feedback from each of the interviewers before they can move forward. Might even need a meeting with everyone on the calendar to reach a consensus. And with the busy consulting life I'm guessing a meeting to discuss a recruit is not super high priority
I was once told by a recruiter they have weekly meeting to discuss everyone's candidates and people fall into yes, no, maybe. They take time when there are more people they are interviewing
Cyber @E5
Would a no most likely come sooner than 3 weeks?
Hate to say it but it depends. Sometimes they do Rejections before sometimes after. You'll just have to wait and see. It sucks waiting but it's a process so not much you can do
