I was an experienced hire and I live in Detroit if that's any context 114k goes a LONG way here
When I lived in a 3 bedroom townhouse rent was $1150 total (wood floors, granite stainless steal, etc) I now own a 3 bedroom 1,600 sq ft house with a full basement and my mortgage is $790, yearly taxes 3,500 😳🤗🙌🏼 @D1
Old college roommate in NYC was promoted to M this year and says that put him just over 140k. He was an experienced hire and was never the one to lie about this kind of stuff. I'm very jealous.
^and he's at EY
Damn, really ? I'm a first year SA at 112k, no MBA. Perhaps I don't know how good I have it...
Grass is hardly ever greener. Take a look at your firm again, find a couple of partners you admire that will support you, join a practice in a growth area, and build network of colleagues you can grow with. then stay put. not always worth jumping for a 20k bump to start over. the network is all you need, people will take you with them to any new pastures. good luck.
I was also just north of 140k when I was promoted from SC to M last year
Yeah but ask for at least 150
I came in at 124k, jumped up in increments and then SM was about 184k
I'm under 100k as well but early promote and started out of college with the firm. There's only so much you can go up every year I've gotten 15%+ raises.
@EY5 this is probably a good opportunity to try and negotiate your salary.
114K
M1 what's your rent like in Detroit?
Mannn I'm up for M next year, and will be lucky to break 130k if it happens. I'm out of DC (non fed).
Ok so sound like $140 may be the average
A1 - Im from DC, non-fed, 125k , 22 MAL (hopefully in the 130s after Dic 1st)
I know of some M1s starting at 110k- NYC FSO Advisory. I think the average is actually around there.
A2 are you 22 MAL @ manager?
What location and years experience?
A1 - yes
