I joined EY as a lateral hire SM and left within 1.5 years. It was difficult to integrate at a senior position and my team partners/MDs were too busy and didn't care to help. Even the 1:1s I'd set up for help were usually canceled or derailed with what the partner wanted. Make sure to assess that otherwise you'll get frustrated very quickly.
I’m actively looking to leave for the exact same reason. No support and career development. It’s probably been the worst at EY compared to other firms. The PPMDs are very good about meeting/connecting with associates and seniors but are not present for managers/SMs.
I am a SM in the supply chain practice. Feel free to DM if you have questions. I worked at another big4 and think our wlb and growth opportunities are significantly better here at EY.
The Supply Chain practice is drastically different IMO than most in EY. Leaders look after all levels and folks, there is a variety of growth and lateral moves, balance of “new” and “experience”, and interesting client work. No I don’t roll up in that practice, but do collaborate w many.
Depends on the group your in. When you interview remember you’re interviewing the company too. My experience with culture and WLB - all within EY - has varied greatly.
SM role at all B4 are going to be challenging. You are expected to bring business , drive all pre sales activities and lead projects in parallel.

Bonuses at EY are not material. Also EY brand isn't great for exit opportunities either. Not worth the switch imho. You'll find better exit options than this one.
