First time buying home in the US. Do lenders typically allow you to repay the loan earlier than the loan term? without any additional fees/charges.

They should provide you a loan estimate document. Prepayment penalty should say no.

like

Yes

Don’t get a loan with a prepayment penalty. That being said I have not heard of one anytime recently. I’m sure they won’t be mad at you paying off that juicy 2.5% interest rate when rates increase in a few years.

Never seen a residential mortgage with a prepayment penalty. More common in real investment situations/ distressed lending/ mezzanine loans etc.

Most states require lending institutions include no penalty prepayment clauses in residential transactions.

In this day and age almost every loan would not have prepayment penalty.

Curious, how much student loans did you have and how long did it take you to pay them off (or will take, if I’m progress)? Trying to see if I’m moving too slowly (paying off $50K in 2 years).

Title on here is out of date but I’ve got over ten years agency experience as a digital producer, highest level being EP and then Executive Director. Feeing underpaid compared to what I hear about client side (current base 110k, 15% bonus + commission)

Feels like I’ve got the same experience as those in the roles but submitting an application thru sites is like shouting in
