I just got an offer from EY in London but considering based on what the maternity policy is which doesn’t seem to be spelt out in contract or benefits pdf. Does anyone know a) if there’s a minimum employment period to qualify and b) what the enhanced maternity pay is. I’ve read both 16 weeks and 18 weeks.
Happy new year

- yes, absolutely
- yes; depends on what was in the original lease and how strictly you want to follow that.
Also, make sure that the rent going forward reflects current market rates.
Yes you should write a new lease or else the tenant could leave with a month’s notice which could have you trying to rent the place off season (less ppl looking, lower price). I check in with the tenant every 3-6 months to see if there are any repairs or maintenance needed, I like being proactive on that stuff and encourages the tenant to be forthcoming. I’ve covered costs unless I can see it was deliberate damage (beyond normal wear and tear).
