Hotel recommendations in Sydney and Melbourne?
More Posts
Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?
Hits a bit close to home

Ok last one for real

[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

Assuming you’re staying over a weekend… I’d suggest staying near the Seaport (southern end of Manhattan near Wall Street)—either the courtyard, four points or Fairfield.
Reasoning: hotels are nice because they cater to the Wall Street crowd, but their weekend rates are low as the Wall Street folks go home on weekends. Also, they’re near pier 11 (ferry hub), Fulton (lots of subway options), and a short walk from the WTC (more subway options and the PATH). With all those options for transit, you’re just a short subway/ferry ride away from most attractions and you probably won’t ever need to set foot in a cab. Plus the Seaport district is just plain fun!
The Fairfield in seaport is awful. Avoid at all costs. Stained sheets, dirty floor, no sunlight in the rooms, tiny bathroom.
You only live once! IBM Go stay at the Pendry in Manhattan West!
Looks amazing but out of my desired price range! Will add it to the bucket list for next time.
I’m trying out the SpringHill suites in Chelsea this week. Will let u know.
Not sure D1
The Long Island City Courtyard is decent and just off the subway. 10 minutes to the city.
Rising Star
How much/how many points per night do you want to spend? I love the W Union Square, the Maxwell, and the Lexington. All are East side properties in slightly different neighborhoods.
Agreed. The renaissance down there is the best I think (three years ago it was when I was traveling)… avoid the Fairfield inn at all costs
I lived at Four Points Sheraton and was pretty close to everything downtown
