Please suggest some 5-10 stocks for very long term

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

Want to start saving/investing from this year. Got £11K and will have £2K a month to invest - any recommendations? I don’t want to take crazy risks, somewhere where this is steady long term growth. Have already maxed out pension and I assume next step is maxing out ISA? After that, what is best? (From UK)

I was focused on paying off huge chunks of my mortgage and managed to whittle it down to $75K left. Would you suggest I go ahead and pay that off this year? Or pause and do a mega back door roth instead? I’m mid 40s. Thanks!

Please give me a rough estimate on how much hike we can expect in my annual salary revision. I expected 8LPA when I joined. They gave me 5LPA with a promise of revision in 3months after joining. They inc it to 7.75LPA after 4m and during appraisal cycle gave 25k 11months to make it to 8LPA. In Oct my hike is due, so I would to like negotiate my hike. The equivalent of this is in SQL, you can use the apostrophe in the beginning of and end of a text. That text will not affect the function of the query, but that text can be seen if you proofread the query.

Do you know- If we delay it by just 2 years- the value falls to 1.88 Cr ( approx.) Difference is a WHOPPING 64 LACS, though the difference in Investment amount is only 12 lacs!!

We all know how inflation can derail our Retirement Planning dreams!!Though it's better to start investing as early as possible,but HEY, all is not lost even if you start little late. We all have our family responsibilities when we start our career, so "INVESTING FOR SELF" takes a back seat.
Just a perspective, even if someone at the age of 45 years starts investin for his retirement, he can decently manage the same with discipline and regular investing.
