For those in California, is $130,000 too little or too high to ask for as a base salary in industry for a tax senior 2?

Good Afternoon. I have been with my current company for ten months. They quickly realized that I was overqualified for the position I was given. I have been increasingly given more responsibility and even more side projects. I have also been proactive and searching for internal positions that fit my skill set. Can I get suggestions on when would be the opportune time to ask for a raise? Should I wait until my one year anniversary? How should I go about this?

Most staff/sr assoc would make 80% of salary for the next 4 months if fired & yet firms are considering pay cuts.

Like at this point just fire me idk what kool aid some of you are drinking

I'm currently at 38L(Fixed) working with Deloitte USI, cleared all the rounds with EYGDS. I am asking for 30% hike only which will be 49.5L(Fixed) and that too they are saying out of budget. This is strange!!!

Is it worth it to play the long game in public accounting (partner track) or to transition to industry and potentially become CFO, CEO, Controller role?

I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm leaning toward GL accounting at a publicly-traded company. My background is 3.5 years audit and 2.5 years technical accounting advisory.

Based in the Bay Area and have 3.5 yr exp in IT Audit mostly SOX with a little SOC exp (ex big 4, couple of regionals) and have been applying to industry (mostly tech companies) since May. made it to final interviews only to find out hiring freezes were in effect or they went with a LCOL candidate.Would like to exit to a GRC role or a mixed role thats 50% sox, 50% varied projects, or a SOX role if the team culture is good. No luck getting in non sox work at current firm.
