Rough week but finished 10k steps somehow, not that its gonna make a dent in my dad bod but hey, no zero day.

Went out on boat with friends and ended up dining out again but got a grilled salmon and a salad so hopefully not that bad.

My friend’s dad was a firefighter during 9/11 who died very young because of lung cancer. He was one of those who were denied coverage. She was just having a really hard time this week. Her boss knows this and told her last Friday with a straight face that she’s sulking. Some of these VC people man.

For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. Hello all, I am a production manager for a sign design and manufacturing company. I have been with the company for six years now starting as lead graphic designer working my way to the production manager. since becoming the production manager two years ago I am responsible for 4 large format printers and 1 vinyl plotter. I’m wearing too many hats but I love what I do. I would love to be a remote graphic designer but I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions?

So here is my dilemma:

- opportunity for lateral internal move (culture&engagement) or stay where I am (reward). I am mid level IC struggling to progress due to flat structure so considering lateral move then hopefully up from there.
