Fantastic work in my experience. Just avoid the inevitable Leb gang and find a reasonable group of people to work with.

Haven't worked myself but I've heard that it's predominantly public sector work
And as someone born and raised in the region, the culture is centered around face time. Expect to be in the office for long hours
Mostly public sector work in ME, hours heavily dependent on the team, but longer compared to Europe, pay is much higher, you can expense close to everything. Your experience might not be very relevant back home
Would you give examples of the most extreme expense you have done.
Having worked in both, clients in ME tend to be much less mature and content oriented. Hence a lot of consulting BS that can be sold in ME would not make the cut in Europe.
Work life balance - ME is probably the worst there is in terms of WLB

I've heard the same from a colleague who worked in ME and London. He made ME sound like a complete grind, but with a much stronger office culture and expensing EVERYTHING.
What’s comp like working in ME compared to the US? Have heard Dubai and Qatar pays… Am I wrong?
Similar pay as the US, but no taxes so your take home is wayyy higher
