New hires always get paid more
You got screwed in starting salary, perhaps bc you weren’t an undergrad campus hire. The offers are pretty standard and EY is pretty socialist about equal pay. But, honestly UI produces better grads than IU.
“Both State schools”. Tells us nothing. Big difference between UVA and some of the shittier state schools
Also how have you had 2 raises if you’re currently a staff 2
She started a year after I did. My starting salary was 57k...not sure how it could jump 19k in one year for the same role. Both state schools.
I got 59k out of college at EY. It’s all a game you know that right. When I quit EY, my counselor basically told me the firm doesn’t give a crap about you and it’s built into the model for people to switch firms every few years. Anyways, I peaced out last year and got a nice bump at Deloitte. You have to keep switching firms every 3ish years unless you are a rockstar or on a path to partner
Yeappp! But 75 is pretty high. Is that a high col city. Also is your school a target school?
Also on the same boat in that I have a masters, but I know some straight out of undergrad who started with me who has a higher salary than me. Do campus hires typically negotiate their salaries? I didn’t, but thinking I should have - I was just happy to have gotten the offer in the first place
Gender pay gap being corrected. So I guess suck it up
I don’t think same’s the true at EY. Engineers and Economics majors make the same salary
Yeah location matters
Good point D2. Indiana University, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (me). Same exact roles in the same group.
IU is a target and I doubt you at hired at 57, are you risk? I know you mention same group, but acp is large
Unless you mean both of u are tap?
What group are you? Those sound like tax/audit salaries (your salary #s)
Yeap 57 is not the typical.consulting offer
Come guys as long as same team same role, others factors don't matter. OP i have Acn senior analysts joining right after masters paid lower than fresh undergrads. Simply due to campus hire or not. But everyone is aligned at Consultant level. I doubt Ey does the same.
Lol gender pay gap apparently goes the other way now. Aren’t you glad you’re part of the solution OP?
Not surprised with 57 consulting offer. BAP staff 1 makes 55k in Pittsburgh
Welcome to EY
