Don't act like a child and behave like a human with poor character. One of my colleague is exactly like this. He was very good n friendly with me. I had helped him in many tasks as well. The moment he knew I got more hike %age and bonus his behaviour entirely changed n stopped talking with me. This has kind of really showed me his true nature, so ll never even think of talking nor helping ever again.

Hike depends on performance, which is understandable if you got more based on your performance.
But base pay depends on roles, responsibilities. How do you explain 5 lakh pay gap between 2 people at same level?
How is it his fault that his CTC is higher than your's ?
It's a common thing nowadays. All of us have someone like that around us.
If you have issues ask for a raise or switch.
If you feel that there is no more growth in this company in terms of learning, then you can start looking for other opportunities
Exit gracefully. If they value you a lot, they will try to retain you with a matching offer or the max they can pay for the role.
Immaturity, insecurity perhaps. And imagine when this kind of people become managers and if their subordinates are more skilled, what things they ll do to them.
